In 2014 I began looking for an old firetruck to refurbish into a food truck, I really wanted to get into doing BBQ cookoffs and such. Around that same time I also started playing around with making my own pizza dough and it all fell into place from there.

I am a full time firefighter, but Tailboard Pizza Co. is a dream I've had for awhile. I enjoy cooking and sharing the love of firetrucks. As a kid I always knew I wanted to grow up and be a firefighter and I loved playing on firetrucks whenever I got the chance. Now I get to share that love with others while I am catering.

In 2015 I finally got Tailboard Pizza Co. up and ready to hit the streets, however I was diagnosed with leukemia (AML) in July that same year. I have been blessed to undergo a stem cell transplant and I am in remission! With that minor set back I had to wait a year to really get going, but by late 2016 I was back at it.

I look forward to growing this business and one day opening my own brick and mortar restaurant...
